OK Let me update everything about Bree. I had a few minutes to read the post and I thought Lee was updating you guys about her condition as it was progressing. :? Tuesday Oct. 6th we received a call from TRC that Bree had not been accepted into the TBI but that they wanted to keep her one more week so that they could assess her in Food Services and the JOBS program. Brianna called me from student health so the doctor could talk to me. Dr. Erickson said that it appeared that Brianna had a yeast infection and she was going to treat her for that with Nystatin Cream and Keflex because it was on her legs and could we please bring her some jogging pants because she did not want her wearing jeans. When we got there the rash from the yeast infection was around her panty line on both inner thighs about two inches. On Thursday when she went back to see the doctor we were told the rash had gotten worse and they were putting her in a wheelchair because they did not want her walking. We had already said we would be picking her up Friday after class and they had said to please do that. On Friday we get a call from the TRC that they were going to do a Medical Discharge so that Brianna could continue at a later date for the assessment at JOBS. I could not believe it when we got her home that the infection had gotten so bad in three days. Our doctor as I say early saw her on Monday and changed up the medicine. Last night the TRC called because they had gotten the lab results back ad needed to fax them to our doctor in regards to the urine sample. Our doctor called this afternoon and he had just gotten the fax and she does have a urinary tract infection. So now she is on Ciprofloxacin. Her legs are looking a lot better. The red rash has gotten a lot smaller but the three spots that look like bed sores are still pretty bad. She will be seeing our doctor again on Monday.

Brianna is feeling better. But not close to 100% (yet)

Her spirits are OK depending on the subject......

Well Brianna's legs are looking much better. The skin is peeling some from the infection. The meds they have her on for the bladder/kidney infection makes her drowsy other then that no hives which is awesome. Bree doesn't do well on antibiotics. She only has one spot that still looks yucky but each time I put the cream on it seems to slowly be improving. Thanks for all the prayers. Now if Bree will just take this situation and learn from it then that will be a good thing. She can't live on four or five hours of sleep a night. It only took a little over two weeks and her body started crashing. We will have to wait and see what happens once she gets back to TRC. We have already told her she WILL NOT be staying there over the week-end until she proves herself. We will pick her up on Friday right after her class and take her back Sunday evening. She is not a happy camper on that note but we told her once she has proven that she will go to her room no later then 9pm and take care of herself then we will slowly start letting her stay over the week-ends. We hate treating her like a child but if that is how she wants to act then SO BE IT.
Take care everyone.

You do what you gotta do!!! and really you're looking at the big picture and Bree is looking at the current picture, she'll understand one day..... as I'm sure everyone (like myself) can think of a thousand times that I've realized if I only listened to my parents.......

Oh how true is that. If I had listened to my dad I would have a nice large savings account. He felt everything should go into savings I think it was because mom and dad never really had any extra money to put into savings with having 7 kids. Every time they thought they would have some extra money something would come up.

Brianna update. Dr. Tim looked at her legs today and said they are healing very nicely but the one sore is still very bad. He will see her on Nov. 2nd to check the legs again and if the sores are gone then she will be able to get into her jogging pants and do some walking around and if everything stays ok then jeans and then if that doesn’t cause any rash then he will release her. :) :)

TRC called Brianna goes back on Monday, November 9th til Friday, November 13th for assessment for the J.O.B.S. program. We will know at the meeting on Friday if she can go into JOBS. Then it will be back on the waiting list till they have an opening. I think their trial time is 2 weeks if she passes that then back on the waiting list til they have an opening for the program. Hurry up and wait.
