Busy here too!

Postby RanCar » Sun Oct 25, 2009 3:13 am

We've been busy trying to get the new (used) GMC TV ready to tow our Zinger as soon as possible. I'm trying to get the new curtains finished before Friday's Halloween camping trip. The Zinger is new but the curtains and cornices it came were would gag a maggot. The circles were giving me vertigo and the colors are the colors of a funeral parlor I'm familiar with. The sofa is opened into a bed now but we're replacing it with a narrower bed after camping season. The border band was already replaced. :)

And this is Zingie from the outside:

I love to sew but now that we're both retired it seems like there's more to do than before. Right now the dryer is full and needs to be unloaded, the curtains are waiting, I'm trying to get the pansies planted, and here I sit taking a coffee break.

Don't forget, we're making the greenbean casserole. What day is the pot luck?

That's fine with me! It's so small you can see it all right from the door. :D Only kidding. All are welcome to see the inside. I love touring other people's campers as it give me good ideas for my own. I'm hoping to have all the mods done before we winterize Zingie in early Dec. If not... well, I have all winter to work on them.

Can't wait to see your new camper...and curtains. You and Mary need to get together. She will be at the campout and she loves to sew too. In fact she sews a lot while she is camping. :o :D

 :o I hope you mean by hand. I can't picture someone sitting around the campfire with a sewing machine in front of them!
Since I'm a night owl I get to read when we camp. When everyone's asleep I'm in bed with a good book. I don't read as much at home since most of my spare time in spent online. :D

No Mary has her sewing machine on board. She will either sew outside at the camp table or in their rig. A few camp outs ago we were going to try and do sewing classes but we never had the time. I think my machine is still in our rig.

Hey Rancar I am Mary and I do sew when we go camping. No I do not sew by hand or around the camp fire. I sew when I have time between things that the group is doing as a group.I am not the book person so I sew when I have a few minutes. It is so nice to sit outside and sew. Usually the picnic tables are great for sewing because they are big. Hope to see you soon Mary

Oh! :D Now I understand. I'm a big reader so when there's some time with nothing happening while camping, I read.
