thanks we just might. i think we plan on going camping for Thanksgiving. Wanted to start a new tradition. Just not to sure were we will camp at. We sure like Cedars (it is close to home) but Found out that Number 2 is closed and we don't like number 1 to much. Does any one else have any good ideas were to go that is close to Murfreesboro?

The group will be camping during Thanksgiving. You are more than welcome to come. I'm not sure how close it is to the boro. It is south of you. You can find more about this camp out by clicking on the Nov. camp out thread. Davy Crockett.

If you didn't want to go south you could go west and camp at Montgomery Bell State Park. It is about 35 west of Nashville off I40.

, our son is a deputy sheriff and you should of seen his face when we told him we were going camping with a group we meet on the internet for the first time.

Awwww, so sorry we didn't meet at Cedars, I've always wondered what do people think of us when we're camping... and since you posted we must not be to crazy :lol:

But you will not find a better group of people to camp with we've become one big family!! I will agree with Donna, you will gain weight, our potlucks are something else though we do sometimes get some good walks in during the weekend. If you are planning on camping Thanksgiving it would be great to go to Davy Crockett out hosts that weekend are Gerald & Della and they are truly Wonderful People!!!

Shawn, I'm gospl4u and I'm the host for the Thanksgiving campout. This is your official invite to come and join us at David Crockett State Park. Nothing to fancy this time just a lot of campfire time and eating. We will provide a bottomless crock pot of super hot chocolate and lots of camping stories. Come and join us. Shouldn't be a great big crowd with the holiday and weather. Gerald & Della

Hi Shawn, glad you got here and I hope you get up the courage to join us all. Everyone is so friendly in this group.

You may enjoy camping alone but it's a lot more fun with a group. :wink:

I'm sorry we'll be missing the Thanksgiving campout but we'll be taking the Zinger down to GA and FL to visit relatives. That trip will end our camping until next spring.
