Defrag

Postby K&D » Mon Sep 14, 2009 7:20 am

Alot if not everybody i talk to forget to do 1 important task in keeping there computer running at its peak performance. That is defraging the hard drive. This really needs to be done once a month. If you have never defraged before the first time will take several hours. So start it when you go to bed. After the first time they will go pretty quick. Windows comes with a defrag utility. But i like this little freeware defrag that can defrag singles files along with the entire hard drive. It also has more option than windows defrag.

Iy can be downloaded from this web address

Downloaded it and running it now. I occasionally, but rarely defrag my puter. It has never made a difference. In fact, it usually tells me it doesn't need defragging.

I actually need more RAM. I took it in for some work a few months ago, and asked that they add more RAM, but they said it cannot accept more RAM. Oh well.
