Greeter

Postby Camp » Mon Nov 02, 2009 3:45 pm

okay it is obvious that the greeter has been a big hit, so i have asked Chuck and Mary to manage to greeter position for us , they have volunteered to be the default greeters for the group if no one else steps forward.

if you would like to volunteer to be a greeter for a trip please get with chuck or mary.

this is a new way of managing for us so i think we will give this a trial period of 2 or 3 trips and evaluate how it is working out.

and please keep it simple, chips dip and a fire would be awesome no 3 course meals :D .

Greeter will be something Jorge and I can do since our situation doesn't really allow us to host.

George did an awesome job this weekend! We could never compete with all he did but maybe we could do some Mexican nibbles sometime.

Folks again I appologize, apparently I ruffled some feathers doing what I love to do. I am not in competition with anyone, so there is no bar to be raised. So should I be asked to be a greeter on another occasion it will be, provide chips and dip, with a fire.

You didn't ruffle my feathers, I appreciate all your work. And I know you did it because you enjoy doing it and I am thankful for that! You are good at dutch oven cooking. Somehow I always walk away from conversations with you hungry!

George no feathers flying here. That is crazy talk. Your food was amazing, thank you for doing it for us. We all enjoyed it. And if you decided to be a greeter again, whatever you cook will be fine with us. :D

What she said! I don't think there is a one of us that would refuse being so utterly spoiled!

Yeah, we know what it is.....you think if you just bring chips and dips next time, you won't have to be a greeter again!  Spoil us then don't spoil us! Seriously, it was so great to have such a welcome fire and pot of soup after coming in from a day's work and a set up in the rain. You were a fabulous greeter and the bar raising comments are actually (maybe poorly) disguised compliments! I salute you!
