winterizing

Postby Camp » Wed Nov 04, 2009 7:24 am

okay folks i see pink stuff this morning on the weather map in ky , so that brings winterizing to my mind.

this year i am trying something new, i used an air compressor at 10 psi and blew the lines out until they were dry and left all valves open, and then pored pink stuff down the drains and in the toilet

what is other people planning on doing this year?

also don't forget the outside shower, it is still the most replaced faucet do to frezzing.

for the teardrop i took a page from lee and opened the door and throw ed a blanket in, as there is no water in it :D

Steve I did both. Blew out the lines and put Pink in. Don't forget to make sure Pink is at the water inlet. (where you hook up the city water) you have to push the little valve that is behind the screen....... Oh wait you didn't put Pink in the lines so never mind.....

We did the pink last year and probably will again. We have some friends who do the "blowing out the line with a compressor" thing and it works well for them.

I personally would rather just camp all winter long. :D
