trailer/rvs over the last decade

Postby littledutch » Wed Nov 04, 2009 3:20 pm

The itch to get another trailer is flaring up again. I think the monsoon last Friday night inflamed the issue. At least for me. Steve was already talking new trailer on the way to the campground. :D

That being said...as I surf (just looking mind you, getting a feel for the market) at used trailers some of the color choices in the last ten years makes me wonder what they were thinking when they built them. Did they get a price break on the most ugliest fabric? Were the colored blind?

It just amazes me at what some of the decors look like. Of course maybe they were thinking that folks would only be in their TT at night ...in the dark.

oh yeah, I almost forgot to tell y'all the rumor Rowdy whispered to me....

A couple of other CAMPTNers are kicking around the idea of new trailers. And what do we have coming up this weekend? A free CAMPER show!!!!!! Six dealers. At Bass Pro.

I am trying to talk Clark into visiting the free show this weekend. But we can not get a new trailer right now.......although I look all the time......you know its really good to know whats out there. :D We will have to have a new TV before we even think about something new to pull. The van can only do so much :(

Jacki - I hear ya. The earliest we'd pull the trigger would be next spring. But I'm always shopping. :D Besides I like see the new stuff. I like out of the box ideas. I came across a camper yesterday where you could empty the trash without being inside the camper. There was an access door on the outside to get to your trash can. I like that. I would also like a hamper for my dirty clothes that I could also get to from outside the trailer. :D Oh yeah, a maid too.

To: Littledutch: I agree. It must be leftovers of the crummiest cheapest material they could find (from China of course). Mine was so ugly I removed the curtains and replaced them - first thing. I covered the ultra-ugly seat cushions with blankets. I covered the gag-a-maggot wallpaper band with a new one. After camping season we're removing the mega-ugly uncomfortable sofa-bed and replacing it.
