Trail Boss’s Duties
•Post when campers can reserve their sites, and let them know what areas they need to try to get. ( which sites, what loop in the campground)
•Set the time of the potluck. On Saturday – breakfast , dinner – and the gathering usually takes place at the Trail Boss’s camp site.
•Pick a theme for potluck menu (example Mexican, tailgate, Grandma’s kitchen). And then post your idea for the menu. That way folks can post what they are going to bring.
•Post the theme for the campout. This is not a requirement! If the Trail Boss (host) wants to do a themed campout that’s cool, but if they wish NOT to do one that’s fine too. (Examples – pirates, county fair, explores, tailgate, favorite decade). AND please keep in mind that those camping are not required to participate in any of the planned actives.
That said themed camp outs have been well received and enjoyed by most – especially those with children. Very Happy
That’s it in the nut shell.
